Ren Faire

We will be dancing one more weekend for the NC Renn Faire on April 12 and 13 at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. We have a live drumming set at 2 pm and our last set at 5 pm. The first weekend was cold and rainy, so we are praying for better weather next weekend. Stop by and say hi.

Obsession.....

I think I have a real problem. My costume obsession! I just bought another costume off bhuz this past week. It is a brown bella and I got a great deal. It used to belong to Aziza of Montreal so it is quite historical. LOL

I have lost count now as to how many I have. Lets see.....

Youtube Hafla

Okay so this hafla was all about us and wanting to get video clips of our performances. So Kasha and I had this idea to do one. She did all the work, but I like to think I contributed with the idea. LOL. She recorded it as well as my hubby. Unfortunately, since I went on at the end, my video clip was cut, since he didn't change the battery prior and it ran out. LOL...oh well

I got to wear my new Blue Bella. It arrived Friday and fit almost perfectly. Just had to make some minor adjustments and it was ready to wear. It is gorgeous...well worth the price!!

What a great weekend! Started on Friday night with a student Hafla. Colorful Waves performed that night with our new lighted Poi. It was hard on that small stage, but alot of fun to dance w/ my lovely dance sisters. Saturday was the all day workshop with Aisha Ali. She was so nice. She had so many wonderful stories to share. The show that night was great. Alot of wonderful performances. I did a solo in dedication to my wonderful teachers, Clare Smith and Shahzaadee and to my mom who is my biggest fan. **She even teared up.

Blue Moons Winter Hafla

I have come to realize that Blue Moon throws some of the best Haflas. We stay up late and party until the band is tired. The musicians are the best. Ken, Brian, Andy, and my hubby Andrew. They all play so well together. I love to dance to live music. I danced an impro solo to "Move your Belly". I wore one of my new costumes. I had a cold and didn't feel well that night, but I hung in there till the bitter end.

Valentines Day

Colorful Waves had our first Valentines Show called " A Romantic Evening Oasis". It was alot of fun and we had a great turnout. I look forward to next years.

Yasmine taught a workshop including a Tribal choreography and a Drum solo. I performed twice at this fundraiser.
